AKFlightDream was created to help aspiring Alaskans take the next step toward their aviation goals by funding FAA written exams.
For many pursuing a future in aviation, the journey begins with a dream, but every step along the way comes with costs and challenges. Whether you're working toward becoming a pilot, flight instructor, aviation mechanic, air traffic controller, or another aviation professional, even small financial barriers can slow progress toward a career, certification, or lifelong passion.
Our mission is simple: remove one of those barriers. Each month, AKFlightDream awards a scholarship to help an Alaskan cover the cost of an FAA written exam and move closer to achieving their goals.
What began as a personal effort funded by a regional airline First Officer is built on the belief that a small investment at the right moment can have a lasting impact. As AKFlightDream grows, we hope to expand that support through the involvement of individuals, businesses, flying clubs, and aviation organizations that share a commitment to the future of Alaska aviation.
